Computer Engineering Welcoming Ceremony
The Computer Engineering Department at PUA’s Faculty of Engineering organized a welcoming ceremony to greet the new batch of students, under the supervision of the Student Activities Department. The event was attended by the department’s academic supervisor, faculty members, and teaching assistants. Prof. Dr. Magdy Abdel Azim, the Department’s academic supervisor, opened the ceremony with a warm welcome to the new students, inviting them to become part of the department’s family.
During the event, students engaged in a lively discussion with faculty members, sharing their expectations and aspirations for their academic journey. The session also covered the department’s new regulations, available specializations, and the associated study materials for each field. A key topic of discussion was students’ interests in modern technological trends and how they could acquire these skills within the department.
The importance of self-education was emphasized, with students encouraged to use their time to develop skills beyond the formal curriculum. Faculty members highlighted that computer engineering is a rapidly evolving field driven by market demands, underscoring the need for students to stay updated with industry trends. Additionally, students were introduced to various student activities in the department, designed to foster relationships and teamwork.
The event concluded with a tour of the department’s laboratories and study rooms, helping students familiarize themselves with their new environment. A commemorative group photo was taken of the Computer Engineering Department family, with best wishes for the students’ success in the years ahead.
