Scientific Day – Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry (Faculty of Pharmacy – Pharos University in Alexandria)
The Faculty of Pharmacy, Pharos University in Alexandria (PUA), has always been keen to organize a scientific day for its various departments. As this event aims at exchanging experiences and research ideas among faculty members and teaching assistants. Accordingly, the scientific day of the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry was held under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Maged El Ghazouly, Dean of the Faculty, and Prof. Dr. Rasha Shalaan, Vice Dean for Post-Graduate Studies and Research. The event was also honored by the presence Prof. Dr. Rim Haggag, Head of the Pharmaceutical Chemistry along with many faculty members and teaching assistants from the department. Furthermore, Ms. Shaza Amr, teaching assistant and Ms. Mariam Omar, teaching assistant, delivered two presentations. The former presented a scientific research extracted from the thesis of her master’s degree conferred from the Faculty of Pharmacy, (PUA) titled “Using Flexible Analytical Methods for Assaying of Nitrogenous Pharmaceutical Compounds in Biological Fluids and Their Variable Pharmaceutical Forms”, which was published in the Journal of Chromatography B.
While the latter gave a presentation on one of the points of her PhD research titled “An Analytical Study of Potentially Abused Drugs”. The faculty members showed tremendous impression admiration of the scientific ideas presented during this science day.
