A Field Visit to a Leading Construction Company.

As part of the Architectural Design course (third level), third-year students (fifth semester) from the Architectural Engineering Department participated in a field visit to a leading construction and real estate development company. The visit was supervised by Prof. Dr. Pakinam Nabil, the course professor, along with Eng. Aya Walid.

The students were warmly welcomed by the company’s office manager, who provided an introductory tour of the various departments and spaces within the company’s headquarters. During the visit, students had the opportunity to explore the layout and design of office spaces, take on-site measurements, and observe how theoretical principles are applied in real-world architectural projects.

This hands-on experience allowed students to bridge the gap between theory and practice, enhancing their understanding of architectural design in a professional work environment. By integrating these practical insights into their coursework, the students gained a more comprehensive perspective, ultimately improving the quality of their design projects.

Such field visits are integral to the department’s mission to equip students with practical skills and prepare them for successful careers in architecture and construction.
